Donald J. Wood (Woody)
Sadly, after a yearlong battle with cancer dad passed away peacefully at the age of 87.
Don (Woody) as he was known by his friends leaves to cherish his memory his wife Brenda of 52 years, daughter Tracy (Brian) his son Jeff (Sammy-Jo), and grandsons Aidan and Caleb.
Don worked as a body shop repairman throughout his life until he took on his own shop on Langside street. From there he retired to do the things he loved. Dad was an avid lover of antique cars and would spend many summers going to car shows, swap meets festivals, and watching car shows on tv. He especially loved going to Minneapolis every summer and to High River, AB for the car shows. He loved to tell stories from his youth and the shenanigans that he and his friends would get into.
We will truly miss dad’s stories. Our family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre 3East that took care of dad during his final days. You are angels and we will be forever grateful for the care and compassion you gave him during his end of life. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
A private celebration of Dad’s life will take place Monday, November 8, 2021.
