Donald William Freeman 19312021

Donald William Freeman
1931-2021
Donald Freeman of Riverview passed away on Sunday, December
12, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Five Points, he was the son
of the late Burton and Bessie (MacMackin) Freeman. Donald attended
Whitepine Baptist Church, was a former member of the Moncton
Curlers’ Association and the United Commercial Travelers. He
started his lifelong love of travel as a CN brakeman, logged many
miles as a Manufacturer’s Sales Rep, then
‘retired’ to deliver vehicles for car auctions.
Don could strike up a conversation with anyone. He adored his family
and furry friends, enjoyed a good steak and fries, camping and family
events. He had a true appreciation for any vehicle as long as it had a
steering wheel.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 66 years,
Erma; daughter Deborah Carr (Patrick) of Hillsborough; as well as
step-granddaughter Melanie MacPhee (Matthew) of Winnipeg and
great-grandson Colin. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a
half-brother, Omar Freeman and his step-father Hubert
Steeves.
The family expresses sincere gratitude for the care and
compassion extended by Dr. Brian Davidson and the 4600 nursing
staff.
A celebration of life will take place at Cobb’s
Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview
(869-2007) on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Norman
Woodworth officiating. Proof of vaccination and photo ID
will be required at the funeral home. To view the
service live streamed, simply click on the link at the bottom of his
obituary on the funeral home website. Donations may be made
to Friends of the Moncton Hospital, Atlantic Wildlife Institute or
charity of choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca.
