Donald Stewart “Stewart” Timmons
1933-2021
Timmons, Donald Stewart, “Stewart”, 87, Truro,
passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021, in the Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro. Born in Pleasant Bay, NS, he was the son of the
late Ernest and Elizabeth (MacIntosh) Timmons. In his younger years,
Stewart served with the Nato Forces in the Canadian Armed Forces. He
enjoyed puttering around outdoors and especially in his garden, and
loved to hunt and fish. He worked for Zellers for many years as
stockroom manager.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorothy (Cochrane)
Timmons; son Don (Diane), Ebenezer, SK; daughters, Lorraine McKiel
(Jeff), Murray Siding, Debbie Weatherbie (Phil Steele), Bible Hill;
grandchildren, Melissa, Hillary, Christopher; great-grandchildren,
Kirsten, Brooklyn, Madison, Harrison, Joshua, Noah, Elijah; brother,
Wayne, Pleasant Bay; sisters, Jean Moore, Pleasant Bay, Loretta
O’Brien, White’s Lake; many nieces and nephews;
special friends, Cathy Comeau (Brian deceased).
He was predeceased by brothers, Elmer, Wendell, Russell,
Francis, Arnold; sister Georgina.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall –
Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where a private funeral
service will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2021 with Reverend
Valerie Kingsbury officiating; webcasting of the funeral service will
be open to all and may be viewed from this site at 1:55pm,Wednesday,
February 10th. This link will remain active for
