Donald “Joe” Tomlinson
It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Donald “Joe” Clarence Tomlinson, age 80 of Sarnia at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Thursday, December 23rd, 2021. He was the extremely proud father of Scott (Leanne) of Sarnia, Kelly (Rob) of Airdrie, Alberta and brother of Faith Archer. Don was a longtime member of the Carpenters Union, Local #1256. He was the Owner/Operator of D.C Tomlinson Construction for over 25 years. He was a business entrepreneur involving Real Estate development as well. He was a member of the Bluewater Anglers Club and enjoyed woodworking and the Fishing Tournaments (as Captain of “Old Joe”). The family fishing boat “Old Joe” was built entirely by Don and his son Scott. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Greensmith, the staff of Bluewater Health, London Health Sciences, VON and St Joseph’s Hospice for all of the compassionate care shown to the family and especially Dad. Those wishing to do so, any donations made in his memory to the Bluewater Anglers at (Bluewater Anglers, c/o Chairman, P.O. Box #174, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 7H9) or St. Joseph’s Hospice at ( www.stjosephshospice.ca ) would be appreciated by the family. Private family cremation has been entrusted to the D. J.
