Peacefully passed away at the Guelph General Hospital on
Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the age of 84 years. Beloved
husband for over 64 years of Mary Grad (nee Hannaford).
Proud father of Donald (Elizabeth) of Swift Current, SK, Laurie
Lanthier of Guelph, ON and Terri Grad of Guelph, ON.
Cherished grandfather of Mary (Sam) Sandi (Israel) and Ryan;
great-grandfather of Bethany, Benjamin, Valentina and
Joseph. Don will be remembered by his brother-in-law Bart
Hannaford, friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, and canine companions
Blue and Max.
Don was a Certified Chartered Accountant. He worked his
entire career as a Special Investigator with the Canadian Revenue
Department in Ottawa. He was an avid camper, bird watcher and
international traveler. Private family service followed
