Donald’s Obituary
LITTLE HARBOUR – Donald Frederick Cameron, 74, Little Harbour, passed away, Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Earl Whitman and E. Scott (Cooke) Cameron. Donald was a meteorologist with the Government of Canada all his working life. He was an accomplished musician, performing mainly as a cellist and flautist. Donald was a member of the Pictou County Community Orchestra and enjoyed performing in a local string trio and as a soloist in various venues. Donald enjoyed fine dining, fine wine, socializing with good friends, and especially, travelling and experiencing all life had to offer with his late wife, Donna.
Surviving are his siblings, Richard Cameron (James), St. Catharines, Ont.; Eleanor Cameron-Stockley (Cecil), Twillingate, N.L.; Lorna Cameron-Price (Todd), Belle River, Ont.; aunt, Betty MacKenzie, Stellarton; many nieces and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Donna (Bjorgan); brother, Christopher.
A private service will be held. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
