Domenico’s Obituary
Surrounded by his loving family, it is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Domenico Orlando Costa on November 25th, 2021 at the age of 79. Cherished husband for 50 years to Frances (nee Sorbara). Deeply loved father of Carmelo (Carmela), Antoinetta (Neil), Rita and Domenic. He will also be profoundly missed by his adoring grandchildren Mia, Alessia, Isabella, Anthony, Ava, Leila, Ella, Tessa and Hunter. Predeceased by his parents Carmelo and Antonina Costa. Dear brother of Rosina (Antonio) Mamone and Nazarena (Giuseppe) Cirillo. He will also be dearly missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
Domenic was an entrepreneur. He was the founder of Calabria Supermarket on Locke street for 30 years. His patience and calm leadership were both admired and truly inspirational. In every aspect of his life, he lived with the highest morals and integrity, something that will resonate forever through family and friends. We will forever cherish the memories created together at our many family celebrations and cottage getaways. Words can never express the love, respect and adoration we feel for our kind and gentle Domenic. Visitations will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E., on Monday, November 29th from 2-4p.m. & 5-8p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Anthony’s Church on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021 at 10a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In keeping with COVID-19 precautions, all guests are required to practice physical distancing and wear a face covering.
