COTE, Dolores “Des” Marie (née Desmond) – Mrs. Dolores “Des” Cote peacefully at Barnswallow Place, Elmira on March 4, 2021 in her 94th year. After a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease, Des joins her beloved Jack, who predeceased her in February, 2015. Des and Jack were married in 1954 and spent most of their married life in Guelph where they raised their four children, Ann Soltys (Tom), Michael (Barb) and Peter (Kristine). Predeceased by her daughter Lisa and son-in-law Rob Manchester in 2006 and her daughter-in-law Jennifer Cote in 2009. Des was Nana to her grandchildren Mat Soltys (Galya Sipos), Jon Soltys (Erin), Nicole Winter (Derek), Katie Manchester and Kathryn Cote. She was Gram to seven great-grandchildren.
Des is now reunited with her parents Percy and Marie Desmond, brother Jack and sister Patricia Newman (John), all of Ingersoll. Remembered by her Cote in-law’s, as well as brother-in-law John Newman and niece Elizabeth Newman.

Thank you to all the staff at Barnswallow Place for their kind care and attention to Mom during these last few years. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. At this time, there will be no funeral service. A burial service will take place later in the spring.
