Dick Earl Campbell, 62, of Avondale NB passed away on Sunday,

Dick was born in Woodstock NB on March 14, 1958 son of the late

Campbell, several cousins and many friends.
Dick was predeceased by his parents.
“Dick Campbell was one of the first people to
come to CEIVA when the doors were opened in 1980. Through CIEVA Dick
had a work placement at Baxter’s Dairy where he bagged and
tied off bags of ice. He went on a work crew at Maritime Lumber where
he helped fill bags of sawdust. While at CIEVA in our Woodworking
department, Dick became one of the fastest cut up saw operators at
that time. He was also a swim assistant helping staff with the heavy
lifting portions of the swim routine. He would often bring beautiful
bouquets of dandelions to staff that he had picked on his walk to
work. Once he transitioned over to CIEVA Recycling, he could
sort bottles and paper, load balers, use the shredder but his most
notorious job of all was to greet the customers with his famous big
wave, his famous big grin, and his very enthusiastic “hey
buddy”. There were times when Dick’s humorous side
would show, he would open the recycling window, tell the customer
“closed”, then shut the window. He would
immediately open it right back up, showing off that big grin, and
laughing that famous laugh. Dick could sometimes
be overheard asking staff “want to go on a date” however he
always considered Charlene to be his true “hunny” often
stated that they were going to get married. Dick retired in
2020 with a career span of 40 years. He will always be considered part
of the CIEVA Family. No one loved Tim Hortons coffee, or bologna
sandwiches more than Dick. He will forever be remembered by everyone
here at CIEVA for his great sense of humor, that huge boisterous laugh
that was larger than life and for his very kind and giving heart.
