Dianne Day 1951 2021

Obituary of Dianne Day
Dianne Day, resident of Gordondale AB passed away peacefully on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 2:44am at Spirit River Hospital at the age of 69.
Dianne was raised in Ksituan AB until she met Alec Day and she then moved to Gordondale. She married Alec on the 15th of April 1967 and built a life and family of 4 children Dean, Amy, Earl (who passed at birth) and Alton. Dianne lived and worked very hard on their cattle and grain farm her whole life in Gordondale. Dianne loved her flowers and garden and loved her country life. Dianne was a very generous person and often donated to different non-profit organizations. She enjoyed crafting, needle point, crocheting, canning and making preserves for the long winter months. One of her dreams was to rent a motorhome and head to Alaska and was planned but unfortunately never happened due to COVID-19.
Dianne will be so dearly missed by her children Dean, Amy, Alton, her grandchildren; and her siblings Bryan, Sharon, Doug, Brad, Mary Ann and Colleen.
Dianne was predeceased by her husband Alec, her brothers Kenny and Brent; and her parents Helen and Miro Matkowski.
Due to COVID-19, a private, invitation-only service will be held at the Gordondale Cemetery to lay Dianne to rest.
A celebration of her life will follow at a later date pending COVID restrictions.
For friends so wishing donations in Dianne’s memory to SPCA South Peace Branch, 11418 3rd Street, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 4L5, Canada.
Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
