Diane Linda Pitblado 2021

May 30th, 1940 – December 25th, 2021
It is with deep sadness and sorrow that the family of Diane Linda Pitblado (nee Buckner) announces her passing early on December 25th, 2021 in her 81st year of life.
Born in Toronto Ontario, Diane started a career as a hairdresser and opened her own salon on Queen Street. It is there that she met Robert Leslie Pitblado, from Goderich Ontario. Bob soon became the love of her life and they wed on March 4th, 1961. Diane was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be forever remembered for her kindness, selflessness, generosity, caring, and her love of life. She always lit up the room, was full of energy and laughter and was often referred to as a firecracker. Diane loved to entertain and the door was always open. She made sure everyone left feeling full of joy and wonderful memories.
Diane leaves behind so very many that loved her. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) for 60 years, loving Mother of Robert Paul (Susan) of Orillia. Laura-Ann (Jack) of Huntsville, Ontario. Loving Grandmother to Teil, Lane and Kaylee. Great-grandmother to Poet and Lottie. Remembered by her sister Joan Webster. Aunt and Great Aunt to so many.
The family thanks the Doctors and staff at Soldiers Memorial and RVH, the nurses of the Bayshore Healthcare team, Family Doctor Elgwaidy and staff. A celebration of life will take place when possible. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Diane’s name to Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Arrangements entrusted to the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater St. E., Orillia (705) 326-3595.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Diane Linda Pitblado 2021..
