SALLANS, Dennis Henry –
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dennis Sallans at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 8th, 2021. Dennis Sallans , of Belleville was in his 80th year. Son of the late Wm. Henry Sallans and Mary Elizabeth Sallans (Sprague). He will be forever loved by his partner of 25 years and proud wife for the last 15 years Sharon Sallans (Thorne) , Dennis is also predeceased by his first wife Barbara Ann Sallans (Faulkner). He will be forever loved by his sons John Sallans (Ruth), Jeffrey Sallans (Amy Mortimore), and daughters Lisa McCumber (Ken Linaugh), Donna Byrd (Mike) and Lindsay McCumber. Proud grandfather to Tammy (Bill), late Julie (Rick), Crystal (Mike), Zachary, Eric, Brock, Mackenzie, Madison, Spencer, Reese and great grandfather to Kassy (Tyler), Nicholas (Alana), Riley (Brianna), Jacob, Hayden, Benjamin and Brody. Predeceased by his siblings Patricia Sallans (Fred Wannamaker), Carole McDermaid (Howard ‘Bud’ McDermaid) and William ‘Jack’ Sallans (Alma). He will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation arrangements have been with the John R. Bush Funeral Home, 80 Highland Ave. Belleville (613-968-5588). A Celebration of Dennis’ Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Hicks Family Farm, 326 Shannonville Rd. Shannonville from 10:00 am – 5:00 p.m. If desired, memorial donations to the Quinte Humane Society are appreciated.
