Ms. Delsie Maraon Sayo passed away peacefully, at the Red Deer Hospice, on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 65 years. Delsie was born and raised in Salug, Philipines. In 2007, she immigrated to Alberta, Canada to seek a better life and to provide more for her family. She worked at Boston Pizza, Edmonton, Alberta and at A & W in Red Deer, Alberta. Delsie will be forever remembered by her son; Jan Michael Sayo and her grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her brothers; Elvin Maraon, Feliciano Maraon, Reuben Maraon and Saul Maraon; her sisters; Nelita Leyno, Helen Rojas, Rose Jane Omandam and Ruth Brillantes, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Delsie was predeceased by her father; Protacio Maroan, her mother; Leona Lomocso and her brother; Eleazar Maroan. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Valle and Pastor Brenda Boyce of Living Stones Church, Red Deer, Pastor Evelyn Licayo and Pastor Edna Solayna of Jesus Rock of Ages, for their shepherding during this time and the many friends and relatives both near and far who have shown great love and concern through video chatting and messaging. We are especially grateful to the staff at the Red Deer Hospice for their care and compassion; until heaven gently welcomed Delsie to her new home.
