Burnette, Deborah Kay – age 68 of Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, which she loved dearly, for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and taking care of her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Preceded in death by husband, William “Butch” A. Burnette; mother and step-father, Asol Coleen Norris and Wayne Catlett; father, Jack Preston Davis, Sr.; brother, Jackie Davis; sisters, Sheila Reynolds and Jeanne Ralls.
Survived by sons, Todd Burnette and wife Candice, Dustin Burnette and wife Amanda, and John Burnette and wife Jennifer; daughter, Paula Suchomski and husband Scott; grandchildren Maddison (Kyle), Abbington (Connor), Max, Skyla, Caidence, Ainsley, Paxton, Beckett, and Emerson; great-grandson, Calloway; sisters, Paula Catlett and Caroline Short; sister-in-law, Joy Wells; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special thanks to Knoxville Heart Group, the staff of Ft. Sanders RMC CVICU, St. John’s family and many beloved family and friends.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, October 29, 2021, at Bridges Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Amy Figg Ley and Rev. John Tirro officiating followed by the interment at Miller’s Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the St. John’s Memorial Fund.
