October 20th, 1953 – December 19th, 2021
After a lengthy illness, peacefully at Hastings Manor, Belleville with her family by her side in her 68th year. Born in Trenton, Ontario. Spouse of 39 years to Louis Vigna, Belleville. Mother to Tanya (Thomas Joy) of Belleville and Joseph (Christie Moore) of Roslin. Step-Grandmother to Anna Joy (Dyllan Simon) of Owen Sound, Douglas Joy of Belleville, Luke Joy of Trenton, Taylor and Bailey Moore of Roslin. Step-Great Grandmother to Isabelle Simon of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her parents Gerald (Jerry) and Katherine (Kaye) Tompkins of Belleville. Predeceased by her aunt Anne Brunner. Predeceased by her in-laws Joseph and Clara Vigna of Niagara Falls. Sister of Lynn Tompkins, Marianne Tompkins (John Topp) and Michael Tompkins (Debby Lafee) all of Belleville. Fondly remembered by her brother and sister in-laws Dennis Vigna (Shelley), Rick Vigna all of Niagara Falls and Mark Vigna (Elia) of Markham. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Debbie worked over her years for Deacon Brothers, Towers/Zellers, Toys R Us and Geen’s Family Pharmacy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Quinte Humane Society or Addictions and Mental Health Hastings Prince Edward would be greatly appreciated by the family.
