Dean’s Obituary
Dean Morgan Foster
February 12, 1964- May 14, 2021
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Dean Morgan Foster on May 14, 2021, at the age of 57 at the Slave Lake Hospital. Dean was born on February 12, 1964 in Athabasca Alberta.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Omella Foster; his daughter, Ashira Foster; Son Cohen Foster; Mother Rosie Foster; and sisters Karen Johnston; and Nicole Dmytruk.
Dean is predeceased by his father; Spencer Foster and his brother; Mark Foster.
Dean will be lovingly remembered as a man with very few words, but huge hopes and dreams. He made many a reality by first hitting the road as a traveling musician.
He then went on to pursue his education degree and became an amazing teacher. His teaching career took him to Thorhild, Calling Lake, Wabasca, Athabasca, and then most recently Kinuso School. He taught for 15 years while starting his Masters Degree in distance education when he was presented with another opportunity to become an insurance broker.
He took the chance and did a career change, which brought his family to Slave Lake in 2005. He created a wonderful life for his family and achieved another dream of owning property in Arizona where more great memories were created.
Four years ago Dean was given another opportunity to return to his first love of teaching, at Kinuso School.
His adventures led him to many passions, such as music, hockey, quading, and classic cars.
God blessed Dean with many gifts like his voice, musical ability, education, sense of humor and most of all his family.
Rest easy sweet Dean and make wonderful music in heaven. On earth we have been gifted with many, many songs by Dean to carry us through and provide us with comfort in this new journey.
A private celebration of life will be held at the Chapel Of Memories in Slave lake, Alberta.
