Obituary of David Malcolm McGregor
McGregor – It is with great sadness that the family of David Malcolm McGregor announce his sudden passing at home on January 15, 2021 at the age of 71. Dave is survived by his wife Joan (nee Voegtle); by his daughter Kelly (Ryan) Gariepy of Kitchener; and his son Chad (Kristen) McGregor of St. Paul, Virginia; by his siblings Paul McGregor of Ottawa, Andy (Ann) McGregor of London, Peter McGregor of St. Thomas, and Rick (Bella) McGregor of Grand Bend; by his siblings-in-law Doug (Ann) Voegtle, Larry (Judy) Voegtle, and Shirley (Doug) Culver all of Simcoe. Predeceased by his parents Stewart and Marion McGregor and by his sister Nancy McGregor. Dave and Joan operated Dave McGregor’s Auto Centre until 2019. Dave embraced his passion for vehicles in both his professional and personal lives, and was happily able to continue working on cars and attending or watching races until the end of his life. Due to COVID-19 a private funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Cremation to follow.
