David Houle
The family announces with sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 72 years. Beloved son of Mariette Robitaille and late Edmond Houle. Dear father of Nina Houle (Dale Simmons) and Isabelle Houle. Proud grandfather of Millah, Kiara, Kameron and Mya. Cherished brother of Linda (Luc), Réal, Pierre (Louise) and René (Carole). Also left to mourn, his life partner Belinda and her children Neil (Aurora), Ivan (Linda), Mandy (Denis), Shawn (Ashley), Joey (Larissa), Suzy (Jeff) and 9 grandchildren. Dave will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many great friends.
‘’Dave saves the Day’’ was a phrase often used. This is because Dave was always the first to offer his help to anyone in need; he wore his heart on his sleeve and will be fondly remembered as a very caring person. When he wasn’t out saving the day, Dave enjoyed the outdoors with his buddies. Hunting and fishing was a favorite pastime of his.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Remembrance donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. La famille annonce avec tristesse son décès à l’Hôpital de Timmins le dimanche 21 novembre 2021 à l’âge de 72 ans. Fils bien-aimé de Mariette Robitaille et feu Edmond Houle. Cher père de Nina Houle (Dale Simmons) et Isabelle Houle. Fier grand-père de Millah, Kiara, Kameron et Mya. Frère de Linda (Luc), Réal, Pierre (Louise) et René (Carole). Laissent également dans le deuil sa conjointe Belinda Hebert et ses enfants Neil (Aurora), Ivan (Linda), Mandy (Denis), Shawn (Ashley), Joey (Larissa), Suzy (Jeff) et 9 petits-enfants. Il sera manqué par ses nièces, neveux et plusieurs grands amis.
« Dave sauve la journée » était une expression souvent utilisée. C’est parce que Dave était toujours le premier à offrir son aide à toute personne dans le besoin; il portait son cœur sur sa manche et restera dans nos mémoires comme une personne très attentionnée. Quand il n’était pas entrain de sauver la journée, Dave profitait du plein air avec ses copains. La chasse et la pêche étaient ses passe-temps favoris.
Selon ses souhaits, l’incinération a eu lieu et un service commémoratif aura lieu à une date ultérieure. Les dons commémoratifs à la Société du cancer seraient grandement appréciés. Les arrangements sont au soins du SALON FUNÉRAIRE MIRON-WILSON, CENTRE DE RÉCEPTION ET D’INCINÉRATION, 150 sud, rue Balsam, Timmins.
