Obituary
The family of David Winston Macaulay announce his passing, which occurred on Monday, March 22nd at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born 1940, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Harry and Jean (Finlay) Macaulay. David lived in Hamilton Ontario for many years while working at National Steel Car. He loved hockey and was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs Fan. David enjoyed going for drives and cooking. He adored cats, especially his cat Popcorn.
David is survived by his sisters Sandra Cervo (Richard) of British Columbia, Barbara Arsenault of British Columbia and Nancy McGrath of Saint John; special friend Elsie; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, David was predeceased by his brothers Wayne, Donald, Harry, Robert, Norman, Billy, Malcolm and Frank and sisters Doreen, Norma, Constance and Betty.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Due to the ongoing pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will take place at Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of David may be made to The Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
