Peacefully after a lengthy illness, at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Sunday, November 14, 2021. David Morden, loving husband for 46 years of Eileen (nee Stone), in his 69th year. Dear father of Bradley (Mercedes) and proud grandfather of Sofia. Beloved brother of Marie (Bob) Scott, the late Valerie (Julien) Eechaute (2021), Rick (Debbie) Morden and Sandra (Brian) Baker and brother-in-law of the late Eugene (2016), Larry Stone and friend Bonnie and Sharon (Charlie) Cadman. David is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Julia (nee DeVos) Morden, his infant sister Linda (1949) and his parents-in-law Bryce and Ruby (nee Hare) Stone. David was a long-time employee of the Norfolk General Hospital and filled many roles in patient care, both at the hospital and in the nursing home. Special thanks to Dr. David Kennedy and the caring staff of Norfolk General Hospital 4B for their compassion. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. (Masks and physical distancing are required at all times when on funeral home property). A private family service will be held. Following the service, cremation will take place and the interment of cremated remains will take place in Port Dover Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
