Ambrose, David Mervyn George:
Born June 3, 1943, in the town of Weston, Ontario to his beloved parents, Reginald and Phyllis Ambrose. Dear brother of Margaret Aerola (Timo). Predeceased by his older brothers, John (1981) and Paul (2014).
Beloved husband and best friend of Joan Elizabeth (Culver). Married on October 14, 1963, they celebrated 58 years together.
Loving father of Barbara Sharp (Doug), Brenda Vagt (Mark), and David Ambrose (Michelle).
Much loved “Papa” to Mason, Meghan, Savannah, Hudson, Tavish, Kyle and Jessica.
Special Great-grandpa to Tyler and Kaden.
Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
After graduating from Weston Collegiate and Vocational School, David worked at Murray Printing and then with Moore Business Forms Ltd., in sales and management, for 38 years. David became a life member of the Moore’s Sales Achievement Club in 1993. He enjoyed many years of camping at Killbear Provincial Park with family and friends.
David and Joan were longtime faithful members of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Barrie.
After 30 years in Oro Station, Ontario and having been diagnosed with Alzheimers disease, David and Joan moved to Waterloo in 2018 to be closer to their family.
David’s long journey with Alzheimers ended peacefully on December 20, 2021.
The family would like to thank Dr. Koke and the staff of the Neurobehavioural Unit at Freeport Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion during these final days.
