David John Sleeman May 15th 1948 June 30th 2021

David John Sleeman, 73, of Sarnia, Ontario, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, June 30th, 2021, after a brief illness. David was born in the United Kingdom in North Cornwall in a town called Wadebridge. David is survived by his sister Jennifer (Peter) Beal-Toms, his 2 nephews, god-son, several cousins and many friends that he made during his worldly travels.
David was a sweet English gentleman and always put everyone else’s needs above his own. He was a jokester and loved a good time full of laughter. David’s career of being a Chef took him to many corners of this earth where he enjoyed his passion and love for the culinary arts. It was during these travels that he met many lifelong friends who also shared these passions with him. He was known famously for his pecan pies which brought smiles and contentment to all those that were able to enjoy them. David’s passion also spilled over to his own love of food and amongst his favourites was Indian cuisine, especially the onion bhaji, and the honey sticks at Global Donuts.
Many thanks go to the health-care providers who assisted David at home, the doctors and nurses at Bluewater Health and the nurses and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice.
Cremation has taken place. As per his wishes, there will be no service. If desired, memorial donations to the Women’s Interval Home or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated (cheques only when donating at the funeral home please).

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David John Sleeman May 15th 1948 June 30th 2021..
