Obituary
Hallman, David Lionel – passed away peacefully on November 10, 2021 at the age of 81. He is predeceased by (Mother) Mary Bremner of New Westminster, B.C., (Father) Leonard Hallman of Washington state, (Brothers) Ian Hallman of Burnaby, B.C. and Neil Hallman of Strathmore, AB.
He is survived by his loving family (Daughter) Susanne Hallman and Roger Saltel, (Son) Blaine and Cindy Hallman and (Son) Dale Hallman. He had five loving grandchildren: Jake, Elena, Braeden, Adam, Jordan and loved his many nieces and nephews.
Dave had many close friends since childhood, long-time friend Lane Shetterly of Comox, B.C. He was predeceased by Johnny Walker of Delta, B.C. and was very close to both of their families.
Dave was married to Joan Hallman for 39 years and raised their three children in Coquitlam, B.C.
Later in life, he lived with Rose Cleve in Armstrong, B.C. and then returned to the Lower Mainland thereafter.
As a young man, Dave served five years in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he learned his craft in Culinary. A complete professional, he was a fully qualified chef and butcher, studying at University of Guelph, ON.
Dave’s enthusiasm for life can’t be understated. He spent countless hours in the rink and at the soccer pitch. He was very active as a coach in baseball, devoting his time and passion. He loved to be out on the water, boating and fishing and was an expert at everything to do with horses and horse racing.
Above all, he loved his three children, and he will be missed by many. You are one of a kind Dad. We love you.
