David G Hipditch 1948 2021

It
is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
David Gerard Hipditch, 73, at his home in
Port Elgin, NB, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Born in Point au
Mal, NL, David was a son of the late Cyril and Vita (Hall)
Hipditch.

David was a heavy equipment operator
for his entire life. He was a
dedicated worker and very much appreciated by his employers. He had many
friends and loved spending time with his two grandsons. David enjoyed
fishing and spending time out doors.

David will be dearly missed by his wife
of 19 years, Donna Hipditch, Port Elgin; his children, Corey (Gayle),
St. John’s, NL and Cynthia (Perry) Young, Stephenville, NL; his
stepson, Lance (Deanna) Legere, Port Elgin; his grandchildren,
Matthew, Kendra Lynn, Bradley, and Kyle; brothers, John (Valerie) NFLD, Ray
(Brenda), NB, Frank of Ontario, Richard (Bev), Alberta, Cyril
(Bernadette) NFLD, Steve of NS; one sister Monica (Jeff) McBride,
Alberta, as well as several nieces and
nephews.

Besides his parents he was
predeceased by his brother, Alexander.

Arrangements are under the care
and guidance of Jones Funeral Home. A celebration of David’s life will
be held at Jones Funeral Home’s Port Elgin location, 3 W. Main Street,
Port Elgin, NB (506-364-1300) at 2 pm on Friday, Decmeber 10,
2021. Attending the service will require proof of double
vaccination and a government ID as per the
regulations.

Donations in memory of David may be
made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
