October 11, 1956 – September 28, 2021
Our world changed forever when we suddenly lost Curly. He was a profoundly kind and loving man. His first impulse was always to help. Curly worked tirelessly to support his family, his roofing crews, and his hometown. Decades of hard work broke his body but his spirit remained positive. Curly retired in July and had big plans for the coming years. He loved cooking, old cars, music and travelling with his family. He enjoyed laughing with friends, fishing and morning coffee at Shepherd’s Hardware with the construction community. Curly’s greatest love was his wife of 41 years, Judy. He loved and was very proud of his daughters, Eva and Rachel. He loved their spouses, Matthew McGrath and Kemp Redl. He loved and adored his grandchildren, Oliver, Eloise and Rosalie and was always ready to make them pancakes. He loved his friends dearly and shared many happy times with the dinner-party club. This Thanksgiving, Curly would have turned 65. To honour him, he would want you to share a good meal and embrace the people around you. We hope to celebrate Curly together at Hullcar Hall in the spring, if the pandemic is under control.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David “Curly Klassen September 28th 2021..
