Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Cheshin (Jan. 9/45 – June 6/21).
David was the loving partner of Sharon Nielsen. He was a true helpmate and showed much devotion to Sharon and during their 30 years together.
David was father to Cathy, Anne, David Jr. and Beth Johnstone (Ian). He was the grandfather of Susan and Papa to Laura Johnstone (Shandon) and Melanie Wiancko (Mike).
David worked as a mechanic for over 20 years at Ryder Machinery. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years with Springwater and Oro-Medonte Townships. David’s hobbies included being a member of the Orillia Gun Club and riding his Harley. We could always hear his motorcycle coming from a long way off!
Thank you to the staff at Soldiers Memorial Hospital for the care they provided to David during his final days and to Nicole Johnstone at the Mundell Funeral Home for her kindness and professionalism.
Our time here on earth is short but the kindness we show to those around us remains embedded in rich memories. David will always be remembered for his kind and generous heart.
Cremation has taken place as per David’s wishes. If desired, memorial donations to the Orillia SPCA or the Salvation Army would be gratefully appreciated and can be made through the Mundell Funeral Home (705)325-2231. Messages of condolence are welcomed at www.mundellfuneralhome.com
