David C. MacKenzie
December 27, 2021

David C. MacKenzie passed on December 27, 2021 after struggling with progressive dementia. He was 85 years old.
Born in Santiago de Cuba, to Hugh and Josephine, David was a traveller from an early age. He came to Nova Scotia as a teenager, and as an adult lived many places including Guatemala, California, Panamá, Kansas and Ontario. He always considered Nova Scotia home and settled there when he retired.
David leaves behind Barbara, his wife of 62 years, sister Margaret (Don), daughter Alison (Ron), son Robert (Pam), five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins and second cousins, all of whom he loved dearly.
Pilot, mechanic and aircraft salesman extraordinaire; his career included working for Cessna, Field Aviation and DeHavilland Aircraft of Canada where he was a mentor to many. In the course of his career, he travelled all over the world for more than 20 years.
There were no strangers in David’s world; only friends he had not yet met.
He will be missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David C MacKenzie December 27 2021..
