MOHRING
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband and father, Darrin Kenneth Mohring, age 54 on Tuesday, November 2nd with his family by his side.
Darrin was born on May 25,1967 to John and Loretta Mohring in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The family relocated to Thunder Bay when Darrin was 8. He attended St. Francis school, St. Patrick’s and Churchill High to graduate and follow in the family footsteps to work with the CP Rail. He then moved on to work at the City of Thunder Bay for over 30 years with the latest department being Sewer and Water.
Darrin was a family man who was a fun, loud addition to family events. Darrin was a dedicated Hockey Dad for both his boys. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing with Justin and Tyler.
He built his man cave which kept him comfortable allowing him to watch his favourite team The Philadelphia Flyers play, while he enjoyed a few cold ones.
Left behind to mourn his death, his wife of 27 years, Tara, his sons Justin and Tyler who were the highlight of his life. He will be missed by siblings Cathy Maydo (Gary), Bernie (Cheryl), Marvin (Jennifer) and Laurie, his Mother-In-Law Tonia and Brother-In-Law Rob. Uncle “D” will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Darrin suffered quietly with Crohn’s disease for the past 6 years and now he is in a pain free place.
He is predeceased by his parents John and Loretta Mohring, brother Brian, Father-In-Law Bob and some great friends and family that went ahead of him.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dominic’s RC Church, Redwood Ave. on November 25th at 11:00 AM.
The Mass will be said by Father Michael Mahoney. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in the presence of family.
