1933-2021
It is with great sadness the family of Darrel Sherman Jones
announce his passing at home on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the age of
87. Born in Keswick Ridge, NB, on June 23,1933. He was the husband of
Clarinda Jones of Waasis, NB.
In addition to his wife, Rinda, he leaves behind his daughter
Tina Mitchell (Doug), granddaughter Hannah Mitchell (Zach McDougall),
grandchildren Mercy and Micaiah; sister Amber Anderson (Marvin) and
his best buddy, his “Little Man” Piper. Also several nieces
and nephews. Darrel was predeceased by his parents Sherman and Maude
(Wiggins) Jones, his children Theresa Jones and Tony Jones, his
sisters Lois Larson, Mable Phipps, Hazel Flowers, Betty Sullivan and
brother Jacques (Elwood) Jones.
Darrel loved to garden, and talk about gardening (he should
have been a farmer). You could always find him at a horse haul or any
of the local fairs.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Oromocto
Funeral Home from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held in
the Waasis Cemetery on Saturday, June 12, at 2:00 pm. To attend the
service please contact Oromocto Funeral Home at 357-5100 with your
name and phone number. For those who wish, donations in
Darrel’s memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or
Canadian Cancer Society.
