Darlene Cecile Marie LAUZON, nee Harps
08 March, 1944 – 29 November 2021
At Cornwall Community Hospital on Mon, November 29, 2021 at age of 77.
Darlene leaves behind her beloved husband of 57 years, Richard Lauzon,
her three children, Ronald (Holly Abrams), Michael (Marielle Proulx),
and Lorie (Mark McRae), nine grandchildren, Leihra, Brett, Curtis, Chantal,
Natalie, Manon, Jesse, Jaydon & Maddison as well as four great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind three brothers, Rene (Mary Marzana), Eric (Norma Cook),
Gerald ‘Harpo’ (Sylvia Wharton) and two sisters, Irene Harps (Richard Lanois) and
Elaine Myers (Jim Beasley), sister-in-law to Robert Lauzon (Suzanne Vivarais).
She is predeceased by her parents Adolphus and Blanche (Quesnel) Harps.
She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews.
Darlene, dedicated most of her life to loving and nurturing her immediate family
and yet always made time for her extended family. She will be remembered for that
great love, her pride in being a dedicated homemaker, and her love of cooking.
No one who knew her would ever go hungry while visiting her home. She took
pride and delighted in feeding everyone who came through her door and she was
always prepared. Her hostess skills were impeccable and irreproachable.
Darlene will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was the strong root in the Harps-Lauzon tree.
A visitation with controlled attendance will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, on Saturday December 4, 2021 from 9AM until 11AM
Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
