Obituary of Dan Swaenepoel
Swaenepoel, Daniel passed away peacefully with his family by his side at London Health Sciences Centre-University Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2021 in his 78th year. Beloved husband to Mariette (Janssens) Swaenepoel for 53 years. Dearest father of Diana Coholan and Denise Swaenepoel. Proud grandfather of Erin, Cameron and Patrick Coholan and Alex Warner. Brother of Solange (late Firmin) Verougstraete, Frank (Carol) Swaenepoel and Noel (Rosemary) Swaenepoel. Predeceased by a sister Andrea Erauw. Brother-in-law to Gaston Erauw, Hilda (Frank) Dujardin, Marleen (Marc) Van Overberghe and the late Angela (Carlos) Baertsoen. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and many cousins in Belgium. Born in Ieper, Belgium on January 17, 1944, son of the late Valere and Agnes (Deraeve) Swaenepoel. Dan was a tobacco farmer for many years in the Aylmer and Dorchester area. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral service will be held at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. and will be available to watch through livestream. Private visitation. Interment Queen of Peace Cemetery.
