Daniel Schoettle 2021

Obituary
It is with profound sadness that the family of Daniel Schoettle announce his peaceful passing on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 86 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria; daughters: Nancy (Rick Sawatzky), Gloria (Iain Strathern); son, Daniel Schoettle (Cathy); grandchildren: Jack Sawatzky (Almeda), Lindsay Amadio (Dave), Harrison Strathern, Maclean Strathern, Michael Schoettle; great grandchildren: Lilly & Piper Sawatzky; brother, Emil Schoettle (Eva); and numerous extended relatives.
Daniel was born in Bessarabia and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He was a family man who also enjoyed the outdoors particularly his Lake Isle lot, and camping in Alberta and BC. He was an accomplished bricklayer and left a legacy of his craftsmanship in many construction projects around Edmonton including the Edmonton Research Centre. He was always available to help with any family project, from trimming trees, constructing homes on acreages, building garages, to elaborate bricklaying projects. Every one of his children have a unique fireplace in their home, complements of Dad. The whole family has special projects that Dad created. He was always there offering his hard work and good advice, with construction being his specialty.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Jubilee Lodge. Your caring and support for dad will always be remembered.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Daniel Schoettle 2021..
