Daniel George Meihm 2021

Dan passed away at his home in his 70th year with his family by his side. Pre-deceased by his parents Oswald and Ruth Meihm (nee Allin). He is survived by his five sisters and two brothers, Elizabeth, Rose Marie (Norm), Wanda (Dave), Melody (Hank), Marilyn (Mark), Wallace (Leslie), David aka Kato. Dan is lovingly remembered by his 11 nieces and nephews and pre-deceased by one, 17 great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nieces and nephews. Dan will be missed dearly by his dog Bear. Dan was a devoted Minnesota Vikings fan. You could catch him laying on his couch in the basement on a Sunday afternoon with a fire roaring in the woodstove, watching football and enjoying a Labatt’s 50 with friends and family. Dan in his younger years was a globe trotter. He enjoyed travelling from a young age. He travelled all through Europe, Amsterdam, Germany, Greece, Russia, Spain, England as well as Egypt, Syria, Turkey to name a few. He travelled all across Canada and the USA on his motorcycle. He especially loved travelling to Texas. On behalf of his family we would like to give a special thank you to his friends Glenn & Phil for the support they gave Dan to make his final wish to come true. Thank you to Dr. Mule from NHH and the nurses from St. Elizabeth’s, Melanie & Kailin. At Dan’s request there will not be a service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. If desired donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or CNIB.
