Dale Oliver Ervick Tuesday July 13th 2021

Ervick, Dale Oliver
It is with great sadness that the family of Dale Ervick announces his peaceful passing on July 13th at the Brant Centre LTC in Burlington. Together for 58 years, Dale was predeceased by his sweetheart, Carole.
Dale will be greatly missed by his three children, Mike (Maggie), Nancy Gaffney (Fred) and Tim (Krista). Gramps was beyond proud of his eight grandchildren Kyle, Courtney, Raymond, Victoria, Sarah, Taylor, Alex, and Christine, and was always asking for a hug. He was also a Great Grandpa to Caleb, Logan and Cohen.
Dale is survived by his siblings Marlene McQuarrie (Jim), Marianne Williamson (Alan), and his sister-in-law Nan Ervick. He was predeceased by his brother Hardy, his sister Francie (Aarne) Hahkala, and his son-in-law Grant Gaffney.
Born on May 18, 1939 in Fort Frances, Ontario, Dale loved nothing more than spending time with family and the great outdoors. He met his sweetheart in Kenora while working at the local Safeway store, and before long they were married and starting a family. A decade later, they moved to Burlington where he continued to enjoy his career working as a store manager. Dale loved his work and his customers, but above all his greatest love was his family and friends. If you knew Dale, you would know that he had an exceptional sense of humour and always loved a good laugh.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Brant Centre, who quickly became part of his family. A private family service will be held, with a Celebration of Life to be planned in the future. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Dale.
