At the Queen
Elizabeth Hospital, the passing of Dale Cecil Sanderson age 61, of
Cardigan, occurred on Monday, March 29, 2021. Dale was born in
Montague on July 15, 1959, he was a skilled carpenter, loyal friend,
and loving father and grandfather. Dale was never afraid to speak the
truth, he rarely completed a sentence without some sort of sarcastic
remark, and to truly know Dale was to have been donned with one of his
unique nicknames. He was the loving son of the late Daniel and Blanche
(Burke) Sanderson. Dale is survived by his three girls, Paula
Sanderson, Cheryl Sousa (Matthew), Robin Macneil (Lucas); mother of
the children Susan Sanderson (Kelly); five grandchildren, Erika
Sanderson, Jonathan Spaulding, Elenore and Coraline Sousa, and Jarrett
Macneil; brothers and sisters, Muriel Bungay, Raymond Sanderson
(Theresa), Joan MacDonald, Merle MacDonald, Dionna MacDonald, Brent
Sanderson, Rhonda MacLeod, Garnett Sanderson, Blaine Sanderson, Lionel
Sanderson; sister-in-law Sheila Sanderson; brother-in-law Alex
MacDonald; mother-in-law Ione Kelly (Johnston); numerous cousins,
nieces and nephews, and friends that he made family. Predeceased by
sisters Barbara O’Brien, Waneta MacDonald and brother Emmett
Sanderson.

Due to
Covid-19 restrictions and by his personal request there will be no
visiting or service at this time. Private family service to be held at
a later date. Online condolences and donations to the Kings
County Memorial Hospital may be made through the Funeral Home website
