Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Leonard A Miller Center on Saturday, June 19, 2021 with his family by his side, and while holding his son’s hand.Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Ann (nee Colbert) McKay; son: Terrence; brothers: Maurice, George and Edmund Jr. and in-laws: Edward and Julia Holwell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories the love of his life, his wife of 52 years Winnie (nee Howell); children: Robert (Fronie), David (Debbie), Bernadette (Bernie) and Annette; grandchildren: Donovan, Dylan, Lucas; three great-granddaughters; in-laws: Mabel, Caleb (Ruby), Francis and Marion. All of his nieces and nephews were very special to him, but Tina was not only his niece, she was as close as his daughter; also his fur baby Misty. Special thanks to the Staff on 4 SouthB at the Health Science Centre, and Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Center for the care and compassion given to our father during the last stages of his life. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm. Funeral Mass to be announced. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
