CUNNINGHAM – John A. Sr., 65, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 5, 2021 with his loving wife, Brenda, by his side.
Born in Liverpool, John was a son of the late Clarence and Edith ( Woodworth) Cunningham.
John loved working in the woods doing silver culture and sawing firewood. He enjoyed playing washer toss, horseshoes and going for drives with his wife, Brenda, always on the lookout for deer.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda (Oickle) ; his sons John Jr. at home, Benjamin (Lisa), Mill Village. His grandchildren Alissa Cunningham, Jessica and Lucas Whynot. His sisters Judith Cunningham of Bridgewater, Leanda Cunningham (George Francis) and Valerie Flemming, both of Milton, Carolyn (Donnie) McCulloch of BC, Rose Marie Haines of Mahone Bay. His brothers Glenn (Janice) of Pleasantville, Sterling and Stephen both of BC.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his infant sister Shirley, his infant brother Clarence and his brother Danny.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At John’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers, donations to the family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
