Craig Haefling Saturday October 2nd 2021

Passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 56.
Survived by beloved Wife, Cathy of 35 years.
Loving Father of Kevin (Lori) and Michael.
Cherished Son of Audrey and the late Donald.
Dear brother of Pete (Yvonne), Pat (Kelly), Cindy (Billy), Scott (Jill) and Lynn (Dave) Hessler.
Will be missed by his brother and sister-in-law Charles Hepburn (Simone) & Brenda Hepburn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by Cathy’s parents Wally & Mary Ellen Hepburn.
Craig spent his years enjoying hockey and baseball. He coached both and loved refereeing hockey. His love of sports was something he shared with his boys. Craig also served as the treasurer for the Kitchener-Waterloo Hockey Referee Association for many years. Together, Craig and Cathy were passionate about exploring family ancestry and spending time at their family cottage in Wiarton. Craig was happiest when he was able to enjoy the company of family and friends, often playing cards or playing tricks, with a cold beer in hand.
Our family is thankful to everyone who cared for Craig during his years at Freeport Hospital.
Cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Grand River Hospital-Freeport site would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
