It is with deep sadness that we inform you of our brother’s sudden death from a heart attack on November 18, 2021—his 60th birthday. Craig grew up in the old village of Thornhill, chasing tadpoles at the pond, going on hikes and bike adventures, and sneaking out at night to watch the owls on the golf course. A collector until the day he died, Craig frequently brought home anything from stray animals to arrowheads to antique furniture. He spent summers caddying and nicking golf balls at the Ladies’ Golf Club of Toronto and the Thornhill Country Club. Craig was a gifted artist and cartoonist, putting his talents to use while attending the University of Western Ontario and drawing for the Western Gazette. His career path ranged from commissioned artwork to property management to handling birds of prey. He always had a creative project on the go. Fiercely loyal and generous to his family and friends, Craig was a brilliant raconteur, the guy everybody waited for at any gathering—and he was usually late. Left with a gaping hole in our lives are his sisters, Cindy (Roman) Gorlewski, Laurie (Brian) Morrison, and Sue (Paul Rodriguez). His nieces and nephews Alex, Felix, Keelin, Matt, Amanda, Meaghan, Jonathon, and Jenna think everybody should have an “Uncle Craig” in their lives. His ‘tantes’, Claudette and Carole are devastated by his loss but so grateful that we all visited them and his many cousins in Quebec City in September. He leaves a large extended family and many, many friends who loved him greatly. A grand celebration of Craig’s life will take place in the spring. Craigie, Guk, Craigerie: we love you. Words will never convey how much we miss you. Memorial donations may be made to The Owl Foundation or The Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary. Craig loved all animals but especially owls and raptors.

Condolences. He will be missed. Craig had a great sense of humour as well and always came if I needed anything. Will miss his honey as well as he was always handing out jars as his way of showing appreciation to others. Will miss you buddy. Take care. Tom
