Cpt Paulette Mavis Jaques Bilton Saturday November 20th 2021

The family of Capt. Paulette M. Jaques (CD Ret’d), beloved wife of Doug Jaques of Yorkton sadly announce her passing on Saturday, November 20th 2021 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 71 years of age.
As per Paulette’s request, there will not be a funeral service, in lieu of flowers, memorials to the Regina Cancer Patient Lodge, 4101 Dewdney Ave. Regina, SK S4T 1A3, may be made as tokens of remembrance.
Paulette Mavis Jaques was born on February 12, 1950 at Melville, Saskatchewan; a daughter of Derrick and Wilhelmina (‘Minnie’, nee Rathgeber) Bilton. Paulette graduated from the Regina Grey Nuns Nursing program in 1970 (71). Paulette soon after became employed at the Yorkton Union Hospital, working mostly on the park & Prairie Units, then finished her career at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home.
In 1993, Paulette began a long and very fulfilling career with the Yorkton Army Cadets Corps, firstly as a volunteer, then working her way up through the ranks as a CIC officer, and progressed up to Captain and commanding officer before her retirement in 2015.
Some of her life’s fondest memories were created with the people she met there. She loved all of her ‘lil grunts’ very much, and cherished her collection of pigs, that was started by gifts from her cadets.
