COMEAU Claudette Marie May 7 2021

Claudette Marie Comeau passed away May 7, 2021 at the age of 63. Claudette is survived by her four brothers: Denis (Marie), Marcel (Christie), Bernie (Margo) and Larry (Beverly) as well as eight nieces and nephews and their extended families. She was predeceased by her parents Anita in 1997 and Emile in 2002. Claudette was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 31, 1957 and graduated from Ponoka Composite High School. She began work at Save-On-Foods and then moved to Safeway where she attained the position of night manager. In a family with four brothers, she was the best athlete in the group. She enjoyed softball, snow and water skiing, golf, badminton, basketball and volleyball. Her brothers drafted her into the thankless job of road hockey goaltender in our neighborhood, and she excelled at that as well.
In her later years Claudette received outstanding care and attention from the staff at Lifestyle Options in Leduc. For their loving contributions to Claudette’s health and well-being, her family is extremely grateful.
An immediate family only funeral service, due to COVID restrictions, will be scheduled in the next week. A celebration of the life of Claudette Marie Comeau will be planned for later this summer, to be determined by provincial and local health restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may make a donation directly to: Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta 10430 61st Ave. NW #306 Edmonton, Alberta T6H 2J3.
