Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Colin “Cookie” Lindsay Harned announce his passing at Bobby’s Hospice on July 12, 2021. Born in Saint John, Cookie was a son of the late Clyde and Minnie May (Tucker) Harned. He worked as a Time-Keeper for Brunterm and Galbraith Construction before he retired. Cookie is survived by his sons: Colin Harned and Jay Noade of Saint John and Darren Aucoin of Ottawa; his daughters: Rosanne Garnett (Mark) and Cara Debly (Habib) of Saint John; his brother Edward Harned (Ann) of Saint John; the mother of his children, Mary Harned; grandchildren Jessica Delaney, Nicole Garnett Smith (Zack), Kyra Garnett, Jillian Smith-Noade, Aaron Smith-Noade, Molly Noade, Jenna Noade, Julyan Aucoin, Amanda Noade (Corey), Anna Debly, Habib Debly, Majid Debly, and Granville Debly, as well as great-grandchildren Joni, Maggie, Oliver, Jayden, Elijah, Lily, and Brady, and many extended family members and friends. As well as his parents, Cookie was predeceased by his sisters: Eva Delong and Katherine Murray. Special thanks to the caregivers at Home Care by Design, as well as the staff of Extra Mural. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB. There will a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery, Sand Cove Road on Monday, July 19th at 1:00 p.m; those wishing to attend must call the funeral home (646-2424) to RSVP. Immediately following the graveside service, all are welcome to attend a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 (714 Wilson Street). Donations to Bobby’s Hospice, or a charity of your personal choice would be appreciated by the family.
