1926-2021
The passing of Cleveland Brown Lord, formerly of Calder’s
Head NB, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on
July 4, 2021. Born on Adam Island NB on November 13, 1926, he was a
son of the late Charles and Minnie (Rickett) Lord. A loving father,
grandfather and great-grandfather, Cleveland is survived by his
children: Barry Lord (Irene Camick) of Calder’s Head NB, Larry Lord
(Debbie Gullison) of St. Stephen NB, Timmy Lord (Rhonda Barteau) of
Leonardville NB, Mark Lord (Sarah Dunfield) of Blacks Harbour NB, Neil
Lord (Nathalie Poirier) of Back Bay NB and Jessica Wilcox (David) of
Saint John NB; 14 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several
nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Cleveland was
predeceased by one grandson: Tony Lord; two brothers: Jimmy Lord and
Gerald Lord; one sister: Bertha Lambert.
Prior to retirement, Cleveland worked for Paturel and in his
younger days Lobster fished. When able, he loved hunting and spending
time on the water. Cleveland really was a man who enjoyed the simple
pleasures in life like being home with his family and
friends.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A graveside service will
be held at the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder’s Head NB on
Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kevin Richardson officiating. Due to
Covid-19 restrictions, social distancing and mask use will be required
to attend the service. In Cleveland’s memory, donations to the NB
Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family.
