Houlgrave, Claudette Rose Marie – With great sadness the family announces the passing of Claudette Rose Marie Houlgrave (nee Gadoury) on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the age of 75. Claudette passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North Hospital in Sudbury.
Born at Cadillac, Quebec on January 22, 1946 to the late Leandre Gadoury and to the late Leona Perreault.
Claudette will be fondly remembered by her son Steven and his wife Brenda Mills; her grandson Donny (Samantha) Mills and by her great grandson Lincoln John Mills which she loved so very much. Also surviving is her brother Claude Gadoury(Wendy Smith); her sister Dianne (Martin) Peddie; brother in law Ken (Sheila) Houlgrave as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a few great great nieces and great great nephews which all held a very special place in her heart.
Claudette is predeceased by her parents; her husband William Houlgrave; her in-laws; James Houlgrave, Jean Duprey (Houlgrave), Gordon Houlgrave and her great nephew Matthew Peddie.
Claudette was a lovely lady who took a very special place in many people’s heart. She will be missed by many.
Cremation has taken place at Lakeview crematorium, Haileybury. During these difficult times, the family has chosen to have a private ceremony for the ashes and will hopefully be able to have a celebration of life for her in the near future.
As an expression of sympathy memorial donation in memory of Claudette can be made to the Temiskaming Lodge for their volunteer program or the Temiskaming Hospital Foundation. Contributions may be left at www.buffamleveille.com
