Claude’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts and the peace of heaven that the family of Raymond (Claude) Brown announce his passing on February 17, 2021 at the age of 97years.
Claude was born in 1923 to Isaac and Mary Jane Brown and, in 1945, married the love of his life, Jessie Parsons (pre-deceased 2004).
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, walking and spending time at his cabin. Devoted to his faith, his church and his family, he will be greatly missed. Leaving to mourn, with fond and loving memories, are his children Vivian Donahue (Basil, pre-deceased), Ray (Daisy) and Doreen House (Con), 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 brothers-in law, 3 sisters-in-law, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Claude is pre-decreased by 7 siblings.
A big thank you to the staff at Deer Lake Manor and Western Long Term Care Home, Bayside Unit, for their attentive and exemplary care.
Due to current public health restrictions, the family will be holding a small, private ceremony. Internment will take place on Saturday February 20th, 2021 at1:00 pm at the family plot at the Anglican Cemetery in Cow Head with Rev. Terry Rose officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main St., Deer Lake. Due to the latest covid-19 restrictions the graveside service will be restricted to Immediate family members.
