It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear brother Claude André of Cornwall, on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 at the age of 87 years old.
Son of the late Elzéar and Dora (nee Léger). Beloved husband of Edna André (nee Théorêt) and the late Estelle (Carrière) André. Predeceased by his two sisters Lucille Brunet and Estelle Menard.
Survived by his twin sister Claudette Pilon (Eric) of Alexandria, his brother Hector André (Francine) of St-Raphaels, his brother George André (Thérèse) of Hull, QC, his Sister Marguerite André of Ottawa, his brother Ronald André (Mena) of St-Geneviève, QC, and his sister Reina Levert (Jean-Guy) of Alexandria. He will be fondly remembered by his many nephews, nieces and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. Leigh and Dr. Poilly and all the nurses at the Cornwall Hospice for their compassionate care and kindness. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772).
As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Cornwall Hospice or the Canadian Cancer society. As a Memorial to Claude, a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
