1931-2021
It is with profound sadness that the family of
Clarence “Tam” Valley, of Oromocto, NB, announce his passing
at Hospice Fredericton on September 19, 2021. Born in Bathurst, NB, on
April 16th, 1931, he was the loving husband of
E. Marilyn (Tims) Valley.
In addition to his wife Marilyn, who he spent 49
amazing years with, Clarence leaves behind his beloved children,
Collette, Kyle, Carrie, Brian, Bruce, Angela, David and Tina; several
grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Nancy (Kenneth)
Pitre, two nieces, as well as chosen sisters, Dorothy, Gladys, Joyce,
and Margaret. He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, Fred
and Jean Tims, and grandson Jonathan.
Clarence was a veteran of the Canadian Armed
Forces who served with the Black Watch and RCR. During his 30-year
career, he served in Korea, Germany, Cyprus, as well as several other
tours. Following his retirement in 1982, he was a Commissionaire at
Base Gagetown for another twelve and a half
years.
Clarence was also a member of the Black Watch
Association, Oromocto Legion Branch #93, and attended St.
John’s Anglican Church in
Oromocto.
Clarence will be remembered for his love of
music, dogs, dancing, travelling, and having coffee with his many
friends.
The family would also like to express sincere
thanks to Dr. Naomi White, Kim Young Ross, the Extra-Mural team,
Hospice Fredericton, and the many others who helped take such
wonderful care of Clarence over the years. Your kindness and
compassion will never be forgotten.
There will be no services at this time. For those
who wish, donations can be made to the Oromocto Food Bank or to
Hospice Fredericton. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oromocto
Funeral Home.
