Obituary of Clare Marie Ellis
Clare Marie Ellis of Georgetown, Ontario was taken gently into the arms of God on August 28, 2021, at Peel Manor in her 93rd year. Born May 21, 1929, in Toronto, Ontario. Clare was the beloved wife of her very caring husband Arnold for 66 years.
Clare was the second eldest of four children born to Marie and Henry Stoeckle. She was a very devoted mother of five children: David (Rezna), Brian (Susan), Donna (Al), Greg (Leslie) and Brent (Marsha).
Cherished grandmother to David (Dayna), Mandy, Kathryn (Guy), Jennifer, (Lucas) Emily, Joe, Bridget and Peter.
Predeceased by dear grandchildren John, Christopher and Jodie, and daughter Donna and son-in-law Al.
Great grandmother to Vallie-Rose, Declan, Neve, Yve, Eoghan and Tadg. Her loving and kind nature will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews.
Clare will be remembered for her compassion and unconditional love as a mother who always put her family’s needs first. Clare was a long-time member of Holy Cross Choir and the Catholic Woman’s League (Georgetown).
The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Mohamed Abu-Abed, the nurses, PSW’s and all the staff who looked after Clare so diligently during her last four years at Peel Manor.
Friends will be received at the Jones Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar Road, Georgetown, on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masks and Contact Tracing required. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown, at 10:30 a.m. Interment Glen Oaks Cemetery, Oakville.
