Mrs. Clare Lavinia MacLean passed away peacefully at Extendicare Michener Hill, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the age of 102 years. Clare will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanne, Glenda (Heinz) and Debra (Jeff); her eight grandchildren, her fifteen great grandchildren and her two great great grandchildren. Clare was predeceased by her husband, Ronald MacLean, her sisters, Anna and Lilian, and a grandson, Stephen. A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated. If desired, Memorial Donations in Clare’s honor may be made directly to the Red Deer Hospice Society at www.reddeerhospice.com. The family would like to thank The Reverend Father Jan Sobkowicz of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Red Deer for his shepherding during this time; the many friends and relatives who have shown great love and concern; and Dr. Shirley Hovan, her long time family doctor and friend, whose kind and excellent care has meant so much over the years. We are especially grateful to the Staff at Extendicare Michener Hill, Red Deer – you became family for us these past years; as you lovingly accompanied mom until heaven gently welcomed her to her new home.
