DAVIDSON, Clara Jane (née Stanley)
Clara passed away at Kemptville District Hospital after a brief illness, on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in her 93rd year. Clara lived at Bayfield Manor for the past few years. Beloved wife of the late Don Davidson (1994). She leaves behind her four children, Lloyd (Debbie), Earl (Debbie), Mary, and Ken (Monica). She was loved by ten grandchildren and enjoyed her thirteen great grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her sister Dona Stanley and brother Cecil Stanley (Elaine). Clara was known as “Band Mom” to many others. Predeceased by her parents, Tom and Mary Stanley and her sister Helen Dewhirst.
Clara was a school teacher and member of Manotick United Church. She started a children’s baseball camp that ran for many years in connection with the church. She was also a member of the local chapter of the Woman’s Institute since 1948. A private Celebration of Life will be held at Manotick United Church on Sunday, August 15th. Those who wish to view the service may do so at www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkoF35nm4VU. A further Celebration open to friends will be held at Rideauvale Cemetery, Kars at 12:30 p.m. Covid restrictions.
